Michael 

Principal – Michael Browning. An educator in the Archdiocese of Los Angeles since 1988, Mr. Browning holds a Masters Degree in Education from CSUN and a Business Degree from the University of Glasgow in Scotland. He has been the principal of Saint Anne School since 1999.

   

Fr. Arturo Corral, St. Anne Church and Shrine. Born in Mexicali, Mexico and ordained in Mexico in 1998, Fr. Arturo Corral received his B.A. in Industrial-Chemical Engineering from the Tecnologio di Durango, a Bacculareate in Philosophy from Mexicana University, and a Masters in Theology from the Leopold-Innsbruk Universitat in Austria. He served for seven years as a pastor in Mexicali before being appointed to St. Anne Parish in 2009.

 


Primary Grades: Kindergarten Through Second Grade

  

Kindergarten – Tracey Willson. Tracey Willson received her degree in cognitive Psychology from the University of California, Irvine. She also holds a Multiple Subject teaching credential from UCI and a BTSA from Loyola Marymount University. She has been working as an elementary school educator in the Los Angeles area since 2003.

 

Grade 1 – Lorraine Speights. Lorraine Speights received her B.A. degree in LIberal Studies from Cal. State Polytechnic University in Pomona and a Masters Degree in Education from Pacific Oaks College in Pasadena. Ms. Speights has worked in Catholic Education for the Archdiocese of Los Angeles for the past 17 years. She taught Grades 1-3 for 10 years, served as an Elementary School Principal for 5 years and as an Assistant Dean for 2 years. Ms. Speights's son is a student at Saint Anne School.

                               

Grade 2 - Cassandra Muzzey. Cassandra Muzzey received her B.A. from Cal. State Northridge and is enrolled in a Masters in Education program at Loyola Marymount University. Cassandra completed a UCLA graduate school program in Science Standards With Inter-grated Marine Science. Mrs. Muzzey served as a substitute teacher at Saint Anne School in 2002 and 2003, and taught second grade here from 2003-2005. She is delighted to return to Saint Anne School to teach second grade, and as a parent of a daughter in Kindergarten.

 

 

 

Elementary Grades: Grades Three Through Five

 

Grade 3 – Alisa Danforth. Alisa Danforth has been teaching since 2000. She holds a BA in Humanities and a Masters in Literacy and Language Arts from Loyola Marymount University as well as a Multiple Subject Teaching Credential. She has been teaching at Saint Anne School since 2004.  

 

 

Grade 4 – Ana Lisa Renteria. Ana Lisa Renteria began teaching at Saint Anne School in the fall of 2007. She graduated from the University of Texas at El Paso with a Bachelors Degree in Education and a minor in Early Childhood as well as a Multiple Subject Teaching Credential. She taught in Texas for three years before moving to Los Angeles.

 

Grade 5 – Vivian Fiori. Ms. Fiori graduated from CSULB with a Bachelors of Arts Degree in Liberal Studies with a Concentration in Science and a Multiple Subject Teaching Credential. She began teaching at Saint Anne School in 2007.

 

 

Middle School: Grades Six Through Eight

 

Grade 6 – Katherine Abel. Katherine Abel was drawn to the Archdiocese of Los Angeles after serving as a case worker in the Vincentian Service Corps in downtown Los Angeles.  She originally hails from Minnesota, where she received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English with minors in Philosophy and Catholic Studies at the University of St. Thomas.    

  

 

Grade 7 – Joseph Murphy. Mr. Murphy has been teaching for the Los Angeles Archdiocese since 2003.  He began his teaching career through the Americorps Volunteer program in South Central Los Angeles after graduating from the University of Scranton in Pennsylvania. He also has earned his Masters Degree in Childhood and Adolescent Development from Loyola Marymount University.

 

Grade 8 – Anna Brown. Anna Brown has been teaching at Saint Anne School since 2000.  She also taught here previously for five years in the eighties.  She has over 20 years teaching experience as well as ten years experience in clinical research. She holds a Masters Degree in Education from Manchester University.

 

Specialists

Physical Education and Girls' Coach--Doreen Monson. Dorene Monson holds a Certified Trainer certificate from West Los Angeles College. She is First Aid and CPR certified and is a certified CYO coach. She previously served as a Physical Education Teacher, coach, and after school program supervisor at St. Joan of Arc School, St. Aloysius School, and St. Gerard Majella School in Los Angeles.
